March 23, 2008
Beside the police, we have notified the following parties:
Guru.com who replied with the following statement:
“Unfortunately, we are aware of Scott Dylan’s unlawful business practices. To the best of my knowledge, all of the accounts that he has opened on our site have since been closed. If you have any Guru.com ID numbers or usernames associated with Scott or Xclusive Media, please share them with us so proper action may be taken.”
www.freeindex.co.uk who replied with the following statement:
“He’s gone. We don’t want anything dodgy on our site.
Thanks for letting us know.
Bebo.com SD is an active member:
Bebo replied: ‘We can not look into websites that have nothing to do with Bebo, but if you have serious concerns about certain activities of a particular person you need to contact your local authorities.
I hope this helps.
Kindest Regards

Elance.com replied ‘Thanks for writing. The provider is no longer an active member with us. His profile is there but they do not have any memberships and they are not using the system anymore’

Having investigated further we do acknowledge that Xclusive Media are not a reputable organization and we have terminated our relationship with them. They will be removed from our site and will not be permitted to run advertising in our magazine.
It seems that your emails have been caught up in our system somewhere, probably due to the attachments

That’s a very good result.
Let’s hope that other publishers are made aware of Reece Dylan’s nasty scams, or they might end up getting skanked too.

Hi
I thought I should email you from the magazine email to make it more official. Some information on the magazine is below.
Converse magazine is a new gay and lesbian magazine launching this month. With a circulation of 30,000, we are the only free LGBT magazine to be distributed in the UK and the Republic of Ireland, meaning our advertisers can potentially get an even more widespread share of the LGBT market.
Our target market are ABC1 professionals. These are successful, professional people with a high disposable income, trend setters, and the more discerning individual. We feel that this target market is keen to find out about things that make their life just that little more special, by providing them with information on the higher things in life.
The magazine will be distributed in bars, clubs, libraries, shops and other selected LGBT venues in major cities in the UK and Eire.
Stereotypes are tired; metrosexuality sells. The modern gay lifestyle has begun to obfuscate distinctions between sexualities and genders. It’s a change we welcome, as our magazine will champion a new wave in queer publishing – one that caters for our reader’s needs/wants/ desires regardless of how they look or who they love. As the gay demographic seeks more substance and style than ever before, we will add weight to their street-savvy, catering for astute and intelligent individuals with their minds on higher things than the usual smut and celebrity.
I hope this gives you an idea of what the magazine is about and our aims as a publication for the lLGBT community.
I think it could be great for you to advertise and do a photoshoot with us as I feel that we are very much aiming for the same market and we are more than happy to help you gain wide access to these people.
I look forward to hearing from you
Kind Regards

I found this: http://www.nma.co.uk/Companies/190/Xclusive%2BMedia.html
We were under the impression NMA/Centaur stopped selling ad space to XM?
Or is it just a left over?

Hi Val
Strange… I thought all XM entries were deleted.
I’ll nudge Andy.
Thank you for pointing it out.

Sorry, just a left over. Will be deleted ASAP
